Food Focus Newsletter 4 of 2023

February has flown past - and just like that we are into the third month of 2023!
Take note that comments for the new Labelling Regulations need to be submitted by the 30th April 2023, so make sure to review and provide your feedback by then.

PS: You may have heard that there are errors in these Draft Regulations and that the Department may be issuing a new draft, but general consensus seems to be to continue reviewing the draft, until we hear differently from the authorities.
Wondering how the R. 2986 labelling regulations
will impact your product label?
The FACTS regulatory team have thoroughly reviewed the new draft labelling regulations, so that they can share with you what impact they will have on your food product labelling process.

Their experienced team, with expert guest speaker Janusz Luterek of Hahn & Hahn Attorneys, will host a full-day workshop where they will work through the draft regulations together – assisting you and your company to get to grips with the content, and making it easier for you to formulate your own comments within the allocated time period.

They will go through a side-by-side comparison of the current regulations and the proposed changes; you will be able to type up your comments and queries on our practical comment sheet while they speak.

Download the draft regulations, and register for this online workshop on 15 March 2023 – save the date!
Remember to submit your comments before 30 April 2023 for attention to:
