Farming practices have developed technologically in recent times and good agricultural practices have become increasingly stringent to ensure food safety. But this is not enough. Customers are requiring the farming sector to demonstrate ethical and environmentally responsible practices. Taking care of the natural resources they use for sustainability and taking care of employees and their families are now weighed as highly as food safety. The Sustainability Initiative of South Africa (SIZA) provides the audit framework to allow farmers to demonstrate their compliance and gain market access. Join us as we chat to them about what this involves in practice and also to the BSI about how to prepare for this kind of audit. Don’t miss the opportunity to ask all the questions you have always wanted to ask, about this audit process.
